They are unyielding, powerful, fast and graceful. The Handmaidens are the Everqueen's elite guards. They need the freedom to move around and manipulate the ball without any hindrance. Their Av needed to be 7 as they cannot be as restricted by armour as the other Elfs in the team. Their stat line falls between a catcher and thrower, not quite as fast as most Elf catchers, but faster than most Elf throwers. Their dual purpose felt so fitting because of how dexterous they are. They would take the role of throwers/runners and also catchers. Sisters are the most numerous unit/soldiers of the region, because of this they are the focus of the team, though possibly not the stars. The Sisters role in warhammer fantasy/roleplay are archers, among the finest in The World. The only difference being that all the Linemen in this team are female. The Linemen would keep the same stat line as the linemen in High Elf teams.

Though the background material is rich and detailed, there are really only two positionals that could be incorporated into the team - the Sisters and Handmaidens, and both have very defined roles. (Though there is still much debate about High Elf teams being the worst of the existing races). It was important that when translated to Blood Bowl that the team would function as a tier 1 team just like all the other Elf teams in the game. It is as powerful as any other Elf kingdom in or outside of Ulthuan. They played for the Everqueen to prove that Avelorn is the greatest of all High Elf kingdoms.ДЄvelorn is a High Elf matriarchy. No other teams in the game could match her finest warrior's dexterity and determination. Buoyed by the success of High Elf teams the Everqueen tasked her Hand Maidens and Sisters to form teams of their own. When war subsided throughout The World and Blood Bowl grew in popularity High Elf teams began playing the sport. Only the fastest and strongest Sisters would be selected to join the handmaidens as personal guards to the Everqueen and defenders of the inner sanctums. The Handmaidens like the Sisters were hand picked warriors. For all of the hobby gamers, the only true way to take the Everqueen would be in a massive army with large quantities of Sisters of Avelorn and some Handmaidens.The Sisters of Avelorn were once the greatest archers in Ulthuan, only the most dextrous, keen-eyed and skilled warriors would be allowed to join the ranks of the guardians of Avelorn. However, your BSB will be fairly unprotected since he canвЂ™t take any magic items with it.ДЄlarielle is less of a magical powerhouse than Teclis, but has better army support abilities, which seems to fit her better. This one is more appealing since it boosts the casting value of Light & Life spells in the vicinity. The other option is for the BSB to take the Banner of Avelorn. They have a fairly high BS and are re-rolling close combat attacks, so it shouldnвЂ™t increase the amount of hits by much. It doesnвЂ™t really seem worth the points to me.

The Sisters of Avelorn can take the Horn of Isha, which gives the unit +1 To Hit for a turn. Including the Everqueen in your list is the only way to use a couple of the High Elf magic items. The opponent could likely stop one casting, but not be able to stop another. This could be quite useful if you really need to get a spell off. Once a game, she can cast a spell twice in the same phase, which might prove useful. If you do get her into combat, she can make a Heroic Killing Blow (with her 1 Attack) against an evil model. However, the presence of the Daemonic models affects her spellcasting ability, so you might not want her to get that close. She also has the ability to damage Daemonic units within 12вЂі of her. She can heal one Wound a turn for a friendly model. So, if you pair these abilities with the Banner of the World Dragon, they would have a 5+ ward vs. She also grants them a 5+ ward against non-magical attacks. Also, keep in mind that she gets +1 to cast High Magic.ДЄlarielle provides any unit that she is in with magical attacks (ranged and melee), in addition to letting them ignore Fear & Terror. That makes it better than it would be if you had to note them on your army list. From the way that I read it, she can determine how many from each lore before the game. While she does not get to pick them like Teclis does, she can select how many of each type she wants. Alarielle was not in the last version of the High Elf book, but existed previously.ДЄlarielle is a Level 4 Wizard that is able to use spells from Life, Light, and High Magic. That is probably fitting for somebody of her station, being one of the rulers of the High Elves. Of all of the High Elf special characters, Alarielle has the most special rules for her.
